DIY Spa Day, The Conscious Way

DIY Spa Day, The Conscious Way

We all need a day for relaxation right? Conscious DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Spa Day screams relaxation, especially in the comfort of your own home. Here at Conscious, we love the idea of creating a personalized, homemade treatment your body will thank you for. There are so many options to choose from, one of our favorites are bath bombs. After dropping one of these beauts into your bathtub, not only will the smell draw you in, but the picture it paints on the surface is truly a masterpiece, meaning you're not leaving your tub anytime soon! Facials and sugar scrubs are just as invigorating. Facials have many purposes - they cleanse, exfoliate the skin, and will have your face looking clear and well-hydrated. Sugar scrubs contain exfoliant granules that help remove dead skin, and when you apply it to your body, the circular motions will increase the blood flow to the skin's surface, leaving it soft and smooth. We have some easy and relaxing recipes for you guys to try out. Check them out below and let your at-home spa day commence...xx

Blueberry Vinaigrette Recipe

Your taste buds will thank you later after you try this! We love blueberries here at The Conscious Kitchen. Blueberries are full of the daily essentials your body needs. They bring antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, magnesium, and so much more to any dish. Not only is the color of this beauty bold and vibrant, but so is the flavor. The sweetness of the blueberries with the acidity of the balsamic vinaigrette gives you that sweet, tangy sensation in your mouth that is to die for. This dressing can heighten up the taste to any simple salad. Another thing we love about this recipe is that you can make it year round, and it perfect for any salad occasion. And did I mention how pretty it is?

Super Cool Fun Fact: Adding Dijon Mustard to a vinaigrette will reduce the separation that occurs inside the bottle.
