The journey to a plant-based diet and lifestyle is different for every one of us. Take It Slow

Ease your body into this new lifestyle by making small changes in a timeframe that works best for you. Take little steps week by week, month by month, to start eliminating animal products from your household. Animal products tend to have a different texture than plant based ones, so this is something you may need to ease your mind and body into. Take a trip to your local farmers market where you can pick up seasonal, organic produce. You’ll learn to love your veggies and appreciate them on an entirely different level when you buy them locally. The biggest concern for a lot of us when switching to a plant-based lifestyle is 'where will I be getting my protein from?' Your raw veggies contain a surprising amount of protein but you want to make sure to incorporate plenty of quinoa, lentils, legumes, nuts, seeds, and even sea vegetables to make sure you're fueling your body properly. Whole, plant-based foods are easier for your body to digest, which then allows you to spend less energy on digestion and more on keeping you sustained throughout the day.  Tune into your body.
