As we say goodbye to cooler temps and give a big hello to summer, it's also time to adjust our diets. Summertime diets are wonderfully light, cold, juicy, and may just be my favorite when it comes to seasonal eating. It's the perfect weather for lots of yummy cold-pressed juice, frozen acai bowls, and superfood smoothies. To give your taste buds a little surprise and something new in the smoothie department, here is my recipe for a superfood smoothie packed with chia seeds, goji berries, and smoooooth cacao to keep you cool and oh-so-nourished during these hot Arizona summers!


Superfood Summertime Smoothie
1 Cup of Almond Milk (via Conscious Dining or whip up a fresh batch at home!)
1 Frozen Banana
1 Scoop of Plant Based Protein Powder (Sunwarrior vanilla or chocolate work great!)
1/4 Cup of Goji Berries
1 Tablespoon of Cashew Butter (sub with almond butter or coconut butter if needed)
1 Tablespoon of Cacao Powder
1 Teaspoon of Chia Seeds

Simply combine, blend until smooth, and top with a little sprinkle of goji berries and chia seeds!
